I want to thank you in writing for the superior job you have done with my new home. Every step
of the way you have helped turn a nice 1600 square foot blueprint into, as you said so well, "a
bold and elegant" dream home. You recommended lot 37 for its privacy, calling it a "diamond
in the rough." You added a large basement to take advantage of the sloped landscape and to add
square footage. By suggesting that we make 37 Brampton Lane a showcase, I was able to have
a home with many more features than I thought possible within my budget. Thank you so much
for the many upgrades that you paid for out of your pocket: the bedroom windows, the larger
bathroom countertops, the nice kitchen sink, upgraded kitchen cabinets, the increased number
of recessed lights, the garage door opener, the oak staircase with banisters to the basement, the
stamped concrete on the front porch and walk, and so many other thoughtful improvements that
would take pages to name.
Unlike many builders who delegate client contact to a project manager, you were there for me to
review the blueprints in your office, helped me choose from your builders samples, met me at the
site to discuss a retaining wall or to show me construction progress, and took the time to show
me one of your completed homes and introduced me to the owners. I remember you showing me
how a backup generator worked, you were patient with my ignorance.
You had many helpful contributions: more appealing vinyl shake design and color, moving the
fireplace into the great room for more drama while allowing for a cleaner garage wall space,
removing the master bath shower and replacing it with a mudroom closet, having an entry from
the garage to the mudroom, putting large garden windows in the basement to bring in light, and
creating the three-dimensional look wherever possible with materials.
I think very highly of you as a person and a builder of high-quality, crafted homes. I would be
honored to share my experience with potential clients, consider me at your disposal. Please
accept this check as a very small token of my appreciation for what you have done. Use it for a
night out with your wife.
